Amy Schultz joined the Yorkville Early Childhood Center as principal in 2024. She is incredibly honored to serve Yorkville’s youngest learners.
Prior to serving YECC’s students, Amy taught a blended classroom for nine years at Prairie Children Preschool in Indian Prairie School District #204. After time in the classroom, Amy began her school leadership journey and served as Student Service Coordinator at May Watts Elementary, also located in IPSD #204, for three years.
Amy earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education with a special education endorsement from Kendall College. She continued her education and earned an endorsement in teaching English language learners from National Louis University and a master’s degree in educational leadership with an endorsement in principalship from Concordia University.
Amy is committed to the success of Yorkville’s youngest learners and enjoys watching the success of students. She also enjoys building the first school relationships with families. When Amy is not at school, you may find her spending time with her high school sweetheart husband, walking her dogs, going for a run, watching a favorite TV show, or reading a good book.
